Long Handled Hedge Cutters

What is your weapon of choice?

Took our Stihls in for a sharpen and service and couldn't help buy a set of Cobra long handles with a Kawasaki engine, £225.

They seem ok built sturdy cut well but should as they are brand new but the lack of anti vibe is probably where your extra dollars go on a top pair. All in all they'll make a good back up set to the stihls.

The cobras are pretty much a lesser version of stihl but for the money quite impressive! I have used them 2 days running now and I'm quietly impressed for the price! They are a nice back up pair to the stihls but absolutely not a replacement.

We use the stihls at work with the angled head adjustment.

One of the lads has the kombi one which i had a loan of for a homer,it felt a bit frajile.

Used Robin hedge cutters for years until I had all my gear nicked a couple of month ago.tryd everything but nothing can touch them for power of waight..best of the best..can't get them anymore..think Marita do them now...brought Echo,s has I herd good things..but are **** compared to the Robins I had.

I remember using robin hedge cutters in the mid 90's. the two I used were very good. I just run stihl these days and I like them. I also heard good things about echo trimmers but couldn't help feel they were a little plasticy in comparison..... could be wrong as never used one. I wish more manufacturers would drop the cheap plastic builds. .....

I noticed you mentioned the lack of hav mounts on em,how did they feel on the hands?

Would you be comfortable using em all day wes

Errrrrrrrrrrrrrr I have now for 2 days and that's my biggest gripe with them! As a back up yes great but all summer between tree jobs no I don't think they would do you any good long term.

I think they are a great back up pair to save on down time.

I bought them as a new head for the stihls was more than the cobras cost so I thought sharpen and service I'll try the cobras with a Kawasaki engine why the stihls are getting done. No down time.

They work well but I can't shake (no pun intended) the anti havs off it would bother me long term BUT as a back up used sparingly yes they are great.
