Once killed nearly thirty in a day whilst tree budding.

They have a crafty habit of knocking into you a few times and then landing softly..

I don't get bitten , they are too slow .

Weirdly they are the fastest insect on the planet! Honestly!

They are proper bastards, I too come up like egg yolks, can last more than a week.

They're like tigers and Joe Newton, they prefer to attack from the rear.

Nearly every bite I've had has been back, triceps or calf.

Not sure if there's anything to it but I was wearing orange hi-viz and they were round me a lot today whereas the guy I was working with was wearing yellow and they seemed less interested in him.

 

 

That's probably more to do with bigger target area than colour mate.
