It just works best for me.Ive been training for several years now and i only use exersises that work for me.

Incline dumbell press really gets a good stretch at the bottom of the movement and a you can bring the bells together with a supinated grip at the top of the movement allowing a maximally shortened muscle.Full range of motion is key to really targeting the pecs.

The triceps dont get a great secondary workout as a result of this in comparison to say a compound chest exersise like bench press but i work my triceps on a different day.

might give it a try then, I have only being doing flat dumbbell press

That was really well explained mate.

I'm smashing the dips at the minute.

Dips are a great exersise mark, really emphasises the triceps if you keep the elbows in and go low as you can,but if you lean slightly forward you can hit your chest and front delts aswell.

If your looking for bigger triceps, which make up 2/3rds of the arms size, keep your reps around 10-12 as triceps are made up of mostly fast twitch fibres that are built for power so lower reps big weight to build them up quick.

Cheese and chive? Or something spicy?

[emoji23] Brilliant!

I mix it up a bit mate, I was up to 30kg on a dip belt for sets of 8 but I had a pec tear so I've laid off the weight and just knock out sets of 12 body weight keeping elbows in and pretty upright. Just going to parallel but no lower.

We are mate.

I was up to 30kg in one sitting (hot chilli), but reverted back to body weight only when I hit 60 stone.

I will admit it's affected my climbing, I need 3 harnesses now, and climb on 6t bull rope.

Maybe you're not doing yourself any favours in avoiding temptation by carrying your dips with you on a special dip belt?

Still, on the plus side, I would imagine you could now get yourself a job with Mr Humphries as a specialist in natural fracture pruning - and you wouldn't even need a saw.
