As long as the price is reflected in the type of wood you are selling then the customer gets the same value , ie soft wood burns faster but costs less to buy so it can be sold cheaper, for someone with a log burner who only want it lit for a couple hours a night soft wood will catch up faster for quicker heat output, just need put more logs on, Mike.

I just sold a load of oak with some spruce in to get the fire going:thumbup1:

In a farm shop near me they are selling 9 logs in a net bag £4.15 softwood the yuppies from London just buy a few bags for the weekend they don't care what sort of wood it is:001_smile:

so its now ok for the yuppies from london to be ignorant?

Im sure they are alot more knowledgable than you think!

Also I would have a `B` plan cos I have heard say of two other forms of energy which believe it or not dont require you to lug wood into a store then sit around for months maybe years whilst it loses its moisture then lug it into the house and have to clean ashes and excess dust it causes from furniture .. I believe they are called gas and electricity and apparently all you do is throw a switch ...wood burning may well be a short lived novelty.
