Must be a wind up. There are no rules on owning a forklift. No V5, no tax, no MOT. It's a plant machine like any other.

 

If you have employees using it or are perhaps using it in the public sphere then an annual Loler test to demonstrate it is safe would be a good idea. You could do the relevant course to show you can use it safely but again - an idea not a requirement.

 

 

they need a v5 if used on public high way ,even if its short runs ,
