When at the Arb Show today I had a phone call from my ageing mum(87). She reckons the weathers going to be dry tomorrow so could I go and mow the lawn for her? I told her yes I could and I'll bring my Stihl strimmer so she can do the edges whilst I'm mowing.:001_rolleyes:

 

Both my parents are in their 80s and continue to remain active. They both enjoy their gardening and would be horrified if I suggested they stopped and got a gardener in. My dad used to shin up the ladder to top out his conifer hedge until about 7 years ago. :001_rolleyes::biggrin:

My folks are the same. They are proud of their independence and rightly so IMO. Not going to try wrap them up in cotton wool.

 

Will look into the Honda cordless, thanks :thumbup1:

Played about with these in my local Stihl dealer .....selling like hot cakes to the the Japanese etc for trimming them Bonsi shrubs ........ cracking bit of kit .

Thanks. Good to get some feedback on them. Seems there are lots of similar type machines but the Stihl is not badly priced.
