I enjoyed it! Good to see and talk to various folk both for business with chippers and fun with owners, ex-owners and just friends as well as friendly competitors and other suppliers too.

Thanks for the pork scratchings Pete! Always good to have a chat and chew the fat with you guys.

Hi Steve, besides numbers being minus one very important one :001_smile: they were very good overall, Friday was notably busier. However we don't yet know final numbers as Westonbirt staff managed it this time round n it also included Westonbirt visitors / " friends of".

Accurate figures should be available soon so I will post back when we know...Sorry.

Cheers

Paul

I went on the Friday its the first one I have been to and I found it enjoyable, lots of kit to see and the Sthil guys were very friendly and informative.

The one bit that I was disappointed with was the Timberwolf stand, there were quite a number of sales/representatives manning the stand but they were all huddled together in both the display stands, I went with the intention of placing an order for a 230 if the price was right, but despite spending 10-15 mins looking over the models no one came to speak to me they were all interested in drinking coffee/tea and chatting with each other :confused1:.

I went for a look round the other chipper guys and I must say the Forst people were very nice but looks like the Greenmech man did, it im having a demo shortly.

Apart from that I enjoyed the show and spent more than I planned to :001_rolleyes: and I will go again

Sounds ideal to me, I hate being pounced on when browsing.

Was there a lot of people at the show then?

No worries Paul, probably be the APF next year now unless you need to brave coming north of Watford for any reason.

It was quite apparent that the no's attending was boosted by people that were visiting the arboretum and went to the show sight seeing. Of course it entertained the kids:001_rolleyes:At times in some of the main sales tents I was bouncing of people with prams and kids that had no interest in the trade, just curiosity:001_rolleyes: At times they made the food queues longer and filled the seating areas.

In my opinion the entry to the show should be completely separate then things would be more realistic.

Disappointed Honey bros and Jones's weren't there because I was looking to purchase a mid range saw and maybe with a bit more competition the sellers that did attend would of sharpened their pencils a bit more because as far as I could see the prices were little different to normal day to day internet/ phone prices.
