Avant questions

so no one here runs an aftermarket flail on an avant??

I'm thinking along these lines, any issues that you can think of?

Exac-One Ltd - Mini Forest Mower

I've got MultiOne flail on a 7.3s Brett.

I know that's not the question you're asking, but, perhaps some of my thoughts might help inform yr decision.

Unlike tractor arm or digger mounted, you don't get lateral tilt or sideways "reach" with a front mounted avant/MO mounted flail (unless you opt for the side shift type available from the OEMs (at a cost of course)).

Maybe that's not an issue, I didn't think it was, so opted for front mount. You get forward lift and lower and change of angle in the forward plane.

Now of course I wish I had side shift!!

If none of that matters, the only other thing I would happily chip in, having just bought a black splitter (splitting cone, wire brush and riddling drum) and a tree shear from Exac 1, I can confirm and attest to their excellent pre-sales engagement and service delivery. 👍🏻

what are you guys using to move your machines around with? I'm finding our 10ft a wee bit small if we want to take multi attachments.

Sent from my sm-j320fn using arbtalk mobile app

The 528 with demolition grab fits perfectly on my 12ft Ifor tipper, the 640 with pallet forks fits, but the tips of the fork rest/hang off the back, unless boom is up and forks down.

Depending what attachments, a 14ft trailer bed would be nice and roomy

The owner of the 640 uses a car transporter trailer. room for a few logs too :laugh1:
