Foxfire: Bioluminescent Fungi

 

Understand that they were used in medieval times to light up the interiors of barns etc, or something along those lines.

 

 

Tbh, haven't seen it myself........as yet !

I remember Mr Ed posting a very interesting link about the use of fungi as recyclers of elements/substances we regard as toxic...indeed there may be a future in this for developed world waste sgrategies ( oops...bit pi**ed!) Stands to reason they might give off a bit of a glow!!?
