I think if you're going down that route there are some decent 5-7 tonners that are little bigger than a transit, some of the ivecos for example.

We've just got a 6.5t Iveco it's not that much bigger than a transit but look at the difference in payload

 

Transit 3.5t double cab = 800kg

 

Iveco 6.5t crew cab = 3500kg

Really happy with the little isuzu we have so I have spoke to dealer about new & used ones. Old 1 has an ali brittipp body but 2bh a cheap back and underbody storage will have to do.

Thought the exemption was upped to 80 or 100km from base.....

What is the problem with a tacho?

Today it's an id type card with your mugshot on it.

I just leave it in all the time.

Only ever ran out of driving time once en route to Paris and then I swapped with another lad after 4hrs.
