30ft fir trees

Hi I have a fir tree out back of my new house I was looking for a price to take it down and remove it. I had a local guy round and price he gave was pretty steep. Could any give me a rough price??

I'll apologise for my good friend skyjack. He's cross referencing an entirely different thread where I raised a question regarding the possible implications of quoting in Winter and undertaking the work in Summer. It would make no difference at all with your tree - which would not have been lost on him - but that wasn't the point he trying, in his rather unique style, to make....

Any particular reason for wanting to get rid of it? The tree(s) add a bit of height to the garden which is otherwise lacking.

I can't see any location mentioned for it yet either, it must be a top secret job. Put your location in your profile and give the prospective takers a clue. If it was round the corner someone might do it as a filler in job.

If you were close, nothing would give me more pleasure than taking an axe and smashing that thing to a million pieces and do it free. (My thread should explain the reasoning :-)
