An ifor tipper with all the bells and whistle is 4K

Second hand there's 3 and need a service, I'd buy new

I agree, they are pretty cheap new specially relative the top money they go for used. If you are claiming VAT back it is a no brainier.

The other thing to remember, the police are having a blitz on trailers handing out £100 fines like confetti. A nice new one will have no faults and be less likely to be pulled. An old one will attract their attention. Got £100 fine 2 weeks ago for clear cellotape on number plate!!. Buy new and be proud of it

Yes, totally agree. Buying new works out a lot cheaper in the long run, buy a used one and you will perhaps need to get braking system services plus new tyres, new floor etc and it still will look like a used trailer. Buy new if you can and lock it up to the hilt, wheel clamps, hitch lock, get it sign written, anything to prevent an easy theft.

I sold my non tipper Ifor 10x5 for €2000, €200 less than I paid for it 7 years previously!

Got a tipper, paid €8000 all in all. Crazy money but there you go.

I've been carry at least 2.5 tonnes of wood on it. It like having a 7.5tonne lorry.
