Brazier Design

Gidday Folks

I'm thinking of building a combined brazier/bbq (mainly cause I'm sick of cooking over gas). I want to cook with wood, and be left with a fire that we can stand around to finish the beer.

I have scoured the interweb for ideas but there isn't much out there on how to achieve an efficient wood burning brazier (not that "efficient" is critical, but I'd like to give it more than just a nod - build a better mousetrap so to speak)

If you know of anything or can point me to resources I'd appreciate it.

Cheers

Foster

Washing machine drums make good braziers, they are made of stainless steel 3 or legs bolted onto it, jobs a good in.

Can be a little bit of a pain extracting them from the rest of the machine.

knock the glass out spin cycle and throw in some bricks thats worked for me in the past just don't do it in the kitchen
