Like the look of these boots, they tick all the boxes.

I wear meindl airstreams but i need a change,my toes rub in the warmer months with the swelling.

Anyone climb in these boots?

Hows the sizing?

Are they ok with spikes?

Input,opinions and experiences greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance all

I Have these boots. Really like em. Very comfy in every way. I had air streams and couldn't see what all the fuss was about as I found them really uncomfortable. I'm size 11 with quite wide feet and 46's fit well.

I've got the Andrew Quickstep which looks similar.

I've had them about 6 weeks. Sizing is like Airstreams. They're a bit stiffer because of the Quickstep thing but fine for climbing. Appear to be very well made.

I bought them from Treekit who were great with advice.

Erm...no i havent.

Ive got weird feet and have real difficulty gettin boots that fit properly.I only got the airstreams because they come in half sizes.

We dont have any arb shops near glasgow so its not like i could try on any.

We ll see

I didn't know Meindl do half sizes.

Thanks.

I had two pairs of meindl before I bought The Andrews boot. The Andrews boot is wider fitting compard to the Airstreams but the padding around the instep does feel more snug. Almost like having thick socks on. They're warmer in the winter but not noticibly warmer in the summer.

Good for climbing in and fine with spikes. The soles are holding up better than the last pair of airstreams I had but as they're vibram soles, they're easily replaced, so long as you don't wait till they're too far gone.

just switched to the Andrews after a decade of Haix protector pros - I too have weird feet - i bought the 47s which at first felt massive and stuck and extra insole in - it took a week or so the break em and at first they were not very comfy but now they are getting there - I prefer the Haix PPs for spiking and ground work as the higher boot is better for those swampy areas... That said I'm not doing so much line clearance and more pruning work these days and the grip is top notch on the Andrews though they are not a light weight boot...but great if you have wide feet.
