Kind of,but usually it's the client that has to do the waiting after we've cut all that we can and dewlly left the rest to them.

That happened to me a couple of month ago.

Sectioning 5 scotties down near a powerline, had to leave two of them for the hydro who were supposed to be carrying out the work on the same day as us and then we were going to do the whole clear up operation and leave site tidy and complete.

 

They turned up alright... 10 days late.

I have an LV coming off a 33kv line that feeds my house and only one other lol, the neighbors bushes are in the LV line and keep popping the fuse on the pole outside my house.

 

The neighbor complained to Scottish Power, Scottish Power got onto WCE, WCE got on to Ed who looked at the job and reported back to WCE who reported back to Scottish Power.

 

Scottish Power want to card the properties even though i live here and work for Ed and I can speak to the neighbor ! Now it's being done as a shut down when it's an hours work live.

 

Far to many cooks !

I'm going to save myself the hassle and just organise a shut down and do the job myself..

The two trees are about 30m each, and around 50cm at the base - I can have them both on thier backside before lunch time!!

Climber Required to dismantle two beech trees on upcoming project.

 

We are looking to bring in a sub-contract climber to dismantle and sectionally fell two beech trees approximatley 20m from LV lines on an upcoming project in Aberdeenshire.

 

The start date for this contract shall be 17th November 2009

 

NPTC Certificates CS30, CS31, CS38, CS39, UA.1, UA.2 essential.

If they are 20M away and you arent straight felling them then say feck all and just do it.

 

the 2 and a half is if you straight fell but pruning is something like 9M.

 

Just prune them down to about 24M then fell.

I would not have even noticed the wires if they are 20M away

 

 

Although I have been known to remove the odd woodland with LV running through the middle of it
