Hi

New to the forum... :blushing: hope someone can help!

I have a Husqvarna 55 chainsaw that I got to repair, I bought a new throttle linkage for the machine, however the problem I am having is that the link end (plastic) part catches on the plastic guide when the throttle is opened hence the throttle wont operate at times and jams. I have included a couple of pictures to show what I mean. I am assured the link I bought is the correct one, failing that I am either parts missing or there is severe wear somewhere else!

I would suspect the plastic cap on the throttle rod has been pulled back a bit so it now doesn't hold in the slider but falls down in front of it. Possibly done because the throttle wasn't opening fully.

It may also be happening if the throttle rod has been bent.

Just read that you have replaced the rod......is the guide OK and the carb secured correctly?

Over to ADW:confused1:

need to know how you fixed the other end to the throttle shaft, there is a hole in the shaft the wire does not fit into this hole it sits into the large opening in the shaft.

Yes, its a new carb I fitted to it and a new guide. Its a real mystery I have had it apart numerious times. Even thought the handle was sitting too far back but that obviously not the case... ;(

On a side note i cannot remember the carb being held on with studs and nuts, is this some type of mod? also the clear fuel hose was never standard.
