I need to get a new head lamp, seen all kind of prices, but no fancy paying 70 pounds for one.

Need one that gives quite a lot of light

 

Any recommendations ?

Olight wave. Had one for few years now. Good light and lightweight on the head with USB rechargeable battery. The wave function is unnecessary and run time on full power is relatively short.

I suppose I should ask the obvious, what are you going to use the head torch for? Do you need to light up where you are walking or need more light than that How long do you want to use it for between charges / battery changes and so on?

 

Loads of torches out there, most are LEDs but the prices, qualities and styles vary so much, it wou;d ne mice if you can give us more what yuo are going to use it for

I doing stump grinding on a golf course from 18:00 to 06:00 so need some that's good with battery's

LED Lenser are pretty decent, and should be able to get one within your price range.

 

Might be worth going on eBay, getting one of these and linking it to battery on your grinder with crocodile clips? Assuming you have a battery, not a pull start that is!

I'd reccommend a Fenix Hl60r.

 

It gives oodles of light

its rechargeable via usb.

The light is a really pleasant colour for the eyes, not blue-ish or yellow-ish, just pleasant.

The battery is replaceable! for many such tools they become useless when the battery goes, not this one! It takes a normal 18650 battery (of which you could have some spares with you, or a cig plug battery charger in y'r truck charging one while you use another) You could also power it with disposable type cr123 (often used in camera's)

5 years warranty

Aluminium housing, robust as... well a robust thing!

waterproof (down to 2m under water for an hour or so)

Less than £70.....just
