fun to drive, nver drove a diesel, petrol engines were very thirsty, they are quite heavy vehicles, dont suppose diesel much better, with the right tyres they go anywhere

i had a grand vitara gv2000 petrol swb, not the van version, bit thirsty but no more so that most 4x4s very impressed with the build quality especially how heavy duty the under side components were, never got mine stuck which is more than can be said for my defender that replaced it, I would have another, very comfortable as well if using for a lot of road work, in 3yrs only thing i did was replace the sump as it had corroded badly as was starting to weap a bit, only downside is that the load space is pretty limited

mine GV was great off road, pulled a trailer on wet grass far better than the defender does, had a lot less issues with the GV off road,

i had a jimny was awsome i put mud tyres on it never got stuck but was thirsty
