Hi old mill.

No never used it but I have the cougar orange rather than the blue. As it's easier to see in fading light. Runs nice on the bone once it's broken in. Used my blue tongue as well on it but too bouncey and tends to flatten it. Used some 11mm beal rope the first time and it worked ok but kept slipping even with the larger washer in place.

Really love using the Bdb now, it does take some getting used to as I flitt between srt and ddrt depending on tree and job spec. But for the large acents and work round the crown it's fantastic. Really gets your brain thinking as it opens up so many different ways to climb.

Hi chaps I'm after a new line for the bdb as I've retired my tachyon, I also climb on cougar blue but looking for something different although I do still like the cougar.
Is there anything new out there that's any good? KM 111 ? Or HTP ?
Cheers for any advice

I would say stick with the non CE version of Cougar Blue or Orange.  Nothing else compares IMO.

i never managed to get the htp and BDB working together.

If you tried the blue tongue and thought it was too bouncy.  I would reckon anything would feel bouncy after the CB.

i did get some Samson Voyager 11.7 I think.  Not tried it yet but I have heard it is a bit bouncy.

Glad to see a bit of action in the BDB thread. I've got one on loan and I'm loving it. Seems to work well with both Cougar orange and blue tongue, my preference if blue tongue but not sure why. I'm pretty certain I'll buy one, just deciding on adjustable top arm or not. It's a great peice of kit for sure.

Anyone tried sterling scion 11.5mm?
