@swinny heat the housing up and you should be able to tap the side pinion out. I try lots of times heating the housing up to get the inside pinion out with NO joy :(

Silly question.  Did you undo the grub screw next to the grease bung, the one that holds it all in?

Ok back to heating it up again tomorrow. Need to try and get something to try and push it out when heated. Don't think the hammer is enough or grip to pull it out.

I just heat it up and they basically fall out when you slam it down onto the work bench. Reversal for installing them.

 

You might not be heating the casing up enough.

The problem wasn't heating the housing up enough. Had ago there give them a good heat 3 bangs on work bench and fell out.

Right will I put the pinion in the freezer for 30mins, then heat the housing up take out off freezer and drop into housing ?
