HMRC scam

Theres a scam doing the rounds where a recorded message tells you that HMRC are prosecuting you and to press 1 to speak to the case officer.

 

Dont press 1 - there are articles about it on the web.

 

I only heard the message on my answerphone after I got home so even if I was feeling gullible I couldn't react to it anyway.

 

IIRC all govt bodies start either with a letter or by kicking your door in early in the morning, never via some poxy phone call.

Just beware.

Phew, that's actually a relief.

 

I thought this was a warning about them taking your tax money and sending £400 million of it to Pakistan in 'Foreign Aid', even though they have their own space programme.
