Difficult one - the cut off is 3500kg as i understand it? And anything above has lower speed limits, the same as HGVs

Vans 50mph, very old law but still applies.

Same as a car i think, ive gone past the police at 70 and they never bother me.

 

Although if you get a sprinter you can get to a ton easily

Funnily enough by EU law you are totally right.

 

Van drivers can exceed the speed limit only when either late for jobs or have had a heavy night and still be a bit p***ed from the night before.

 

Well unless your Spanish then you must have to sleep 23 hours of the day away.

car derived van, ie escort van; same as car.

 

Lutons, pickups, trannys etc and upto 7.5t; 50 on main road, 60 on dual carriageway, 70 on motorway, but if towing only 60.

Seriously, was talking about it with my brother last week, and I honestly don't know.

 

Say sub 3.5 tonne, Transit etc. I assumed normal speed limits applied, but I don't know for a fact.

 

Surely different for 3.5-7.5 tonne?
