PTO chipper

I was looking for a mobile bandsaw and chipper pre brexit and been searching for ages and looking and testing different solutions then came across woodland mills and the rest is history

So the answer is No it isn't occasional use its made very strong compact it's done several months work with me chipping hardwood , softwood tops I sell logs so anything over 3-4" is firewood but I have put larger stuff through it and it handles it fine and it goes into a sawmill chipping up outshells for gardening customers on a as and when basis

And it's possible to use 1000 speed PTO on a larger tractor saving diesel

But others mightn't like it may not be as high tech as the leading brands the safety features are straight forward and very affective

Cheers shavey, nice little review.

Did consider having a look at the kelfri 10" which look a copy of the farmi.

Not stupid money really.

I've ran a tp760 on the mog, made lovely chip and would happily take 8/9 inch timber all day. No stress control but never bothered me, also have a old (80's) turntable 6 inch Schliesing, not legal and no stress control but she is a beast

I’ve got a few jobs coming up where a pto chipper will be useful. I like the look of the woodland mills 6 or 8” chipper. Give or take its £3k new and delivered as opposed to £10-12k for a leading brand. Wondered how other people’s are holding out? They seem to be a similar concept to Rock machinery in that although they’re made in China they are designed in Canada and QC is quite strict. 3 year warranty too. I realise second hand value will be peanuts but I reckon a brand new Forst/TW/TP would devalue by that much at least. My tractor is a 50hp pasquali alpine. Cheers!
