Cool I figured you guys would for sure have covered all the basics. I hear from everyone that Stihl oilers lack the output, I cut mainly softwoods and it's fine for me but I'm guessing you guys are cutting alot more hardwoods with the long bar.

That sucks on the tensioner I sure hope mine doesn't develop any similar problems.

Ok, got the feedback on mine.

Had a phone call from the fitter who inspected mine. He started telling me he had stripped and checked the tensioner, oil pump and pipes. He then said the tensioner is ok, works fine, and i was probably trying to over-tighten the chain. And, the bar groove needed cleaning out so now he`s cleaned it out, it oils fine!

I feel insulted, i have always been maticulous servicing and i have always felt my maintenance is well above average, but i was definately put in my place.

Whats more is, as it was "bad maintenance" i will be getting a bill for his time:jumping38:

Well adam, im hopping about mine, dare say words will be said when i go and collect it today. I have around 25years experience using and servicing saws, and to be given a lecture over the phone about cleaning bar grooves.........im f***ing livid!

Yours adam, should have been sorted on the first visit to the shop, you need to give them an ear full.
