Yes but only to bring the older clients up to what the newer regular clients pay (going to be fun! May lose a few but hey ho) & yes totally agree, stick to your guns & don't compete on price!

Mate was telling me about one of the bigger players doing LA contract work who had a £7/tree rate for street tree re-pollarding. I had a think about it while I was in Plymouth yesterday. They'd have to be doing 100 trees a day just to cover costs? Seems crazy!!

£7 is rather low. Now you got me wondering who that was as I saw PCC doing it themselves and I know who else tendered for it...

Surely you should be retired now eggs? Or you just working for holiday spends

It would be nice to just work for holiday spends. Like a fool I never got a pension fund going.

Saying that I've got enough money to last the rest of my life...... So long as I die tomorrow.

So out of 26,215 members on this site a total of maybe 5 will or are thinking about raising their prices to deal with inflationary price increases for everything else. Well at least 5 members will not be maintaining the status quo for everyone else.

I'm not being kinky when I say "it's a race to the bottom".... but that is what many industries have become/ or are becoming.

It may not be so much that nobody is thinking about it Ted, maybe it's just too dull to spend to much time on and not commenting doesn't necessarily mean folks aren't thinking about it?

So... Will you be lowering your retail prices then? To make them affordable like!
