Similar in looks to an Efel but the Efel had a one piece top hinged door with vertical strips of glass. The top canopy lifted up and the door swung & went under this, hidden by the canopy so changing it to an open fire. Plus the usual gold motif particular to Efel.

I'd put my money on Hunter.

And the Efel Kamina, which is the stove above, had a side opening door in addition to the front one.It was one of the flimsiest stove I ever worked on, it was no more than a tin box with cast iron front and top which was lined with ribbed cast iron burn plates.They gave out more heat than was good for it.

You're right on all counts, and I was forever breaking the glass by shutting the front on a log, This had me looking for old photos and here you see it from the 90s with fireclay holding the bits of glass together.
