Trouble descending on the spiderjack 3

Is anyone having trouble descending on the spiderjack 3. I have tried it on a 11.5 rope and a 13 mm rope and it just feels really tight and if you use the brake you dont move at all.

Any ideas?

just bought one matt,not had it to any height,still getting used to it,but no probs with it so far.out with it Tuesday, about 60ft prune,will get back to you mate. struie.

Does it come with another cam ?

I climb on a 13mm rope. It was very tight at first, 2nd week it works well. Thinner rope would be better. Its better than my zigzag with its links cracking. Much safer. It comes with 2 cams for other rope sizes.

Have been climbing on mine for a couple of weeks now, noticed today when descending from close to my anchor point that it was struggling to feed through the cam. Once i was 2- 3 metres from anchor point it was fine. Also if your out on a limb almost horizontal with your anchor point can be abit tight to pull through. Have cleaned it out with an air compressor to see if that makes a difference. Am currently climbing on yale blue tongue 11.7 with the red cam installed.

had mine out couple days ago.had the same probs,tight at anchor point,just maybe needs :run in: its on the red cam and using hi vee new England 12mm.

I've read a review on another page and it was stated that it eats through carabiners, anyone having this issue?

Have you got the right friction clutch for your rope.
