I used to climb on a distel with a ring to ring cambium saver then got a art rope guide. Couldn't believe the difference!! Massive saving on friction. My hitch did start to slip and then went on to a lock jack, my life has never been the same since!!!

Lock-jack,Spiderjack,ZigZag all perform at their best when friction is reduced or eliminated...My Teufelberger pulley saver is at the top of my kit bag and is a joy to use!

If you're not using a self tending climbing hitch/device i wouldn't bother with pulley type friction saver.

Arborkiwi has a great tutorial on youtube on how to install and remover that pully saver from the ground
