Don’t hold your breath…. I can’t get the link to upload, but last month a man was arrested in Manchester for burning a Qran in public.  You found an example of sunshine being arrested for burning a Bible…

 

I wouldn’t defend doing such a stupid and offensive thing, but I thought we had free speech in the UK.  The crime of blasphemy was removed from the statute books in 2008.

Thats a bit more than just criticising though isnt it. Look, i dunno what the context of the story is and I dont know if anyone has been burning bibles lately but yeah, if its an arrestable offence to burn books in public then it should apply across the board no matter what religion or for that matter whatever the context of the book may be.

We have free speech in the UK but there is a limit, as there should be.
