There is no suggestion that the farmer in the post does not know the cost, if he is like farmers I know, he'll know to the cent. The post was not highlighting an ignorant farmer who does not know his business costs of course, simple comprehension of the words is not a hard thing to get. The post is highlighting how Trumps tariffs are hurting farmers. I was sure you'd understand that extra taxes on farmers hurt them, but maybe not so. So as above, firing out the insult because you don't like the words you read really just makes you the sh1t poster here.

So if you're assuming he knew the costs, that makes him the .... A hole.

When he knew full well it could be bought elsewhere without the tariff no doubt cheaper, wouldn't that be your flimsy argument?.

Unfair on the farmer: Trump told him, and everybody else, that (in this case) Canada would pay the tariff. Trump is the arsehole here.

Not at all. Did you read the words?

Using made up numbers by way of example:

6 months ago farmer buys feed at 10,000 and can make a profit

Today he buys feed at 12,200 and cannot make a profit

The difference is the tax that Trump has added.

The post was highlighting this tax increase means the farmer is making a loss. But you fire out an insult to the OP because you do not like this idea being highlighted here....making you the sh!t poster and not the OP.

He can buy it domestically without the tariff, you're just digging a deeper hole of TDS.

He knew there's a tariff, everyone new there was a tariff.

Shipping isn't going to be 2200 dollars, ergo he's the fool and your just scrabbling around in the dirt trying to make another I hate trumpety trump stomping around the supermarket like a toddler.

Steven (if that is your real name... we've still not seen a scan of your passport or driver's licence as proof...), you are just so god-damned patient. Where did you get all that patience?

You obviously have children.

From Grok.

The U.S. exported approximately 3 million tonnes of feed corn to Canada in 2021, with expectations of an additional 2 million tonnes through August 2022, driven by a U.S. bumper crop and Canadian drought. Additionally, 652,000 tonnes of dried distillers grain (a corn byproduct) were imported into Canada from January to November 2021, significantly higher than the average of 365,000 tonnes. Specific data on other livestock feed types or more recent years is less comprehensive, but the U.S. remains a major supplier, with agricultural exports to Canada totaling $30.3 billion in 2024, including grains and feeds.....

Buy domestic feed.

Change your farming methods.

Cope and seeth.

There will be pain, but change is inevitable. The administration has 3.5 more years to push the change through and when they're done, the world will be likely be fundamentally reshaped. Like Obama promised, but different.

pardoning the Jan 6 mob was a mistake - it sends the message that gang warfare is an ok way to achieve political ends. I wonder if there is a betting market for ' when is the next American Civil War?

My fantasy ending to Jan 6 would have been the police lobbing grenades into the crowd below, as soon as some of them tried to break in.

If Trump really does try for a third term there would be good reson to think the US has been hijacked and needs liberating.

Yes, and am sure we have all been there with the "Dad, John called me a poo" conversation which in essence is what was playing out above.

(EDIT: Actually in my case it was 'jobbie'... but we stopped them talking too Glaswegian)

Why be embarrassed about where you come from, or for that matter where you work.
