To be honest history is a very grey area, the more you read the better you'll understand and actually have context as it's not binary especially regarding Africa, India and many other places.

Hamas however are not freedom fighters, just fanatical terrorists, mostly funded by Iran and similar places.

Kinda like the contras and Afghan in the 70s, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

Did they release all of the hostages then?

You know they didn’t, even if they had it wouldn’t have been enough would it. That was a threat to get the ball rolling again, it worked and 3 more people are now tasting freedom, hopefully the rest will not be far behind. Love Trump or Hate him but you can’t deny he gets results, not always text book methodology but his latest rocket up the arse of the soft shite spongers in NATO who with a few exceptions have reduced their armed forces to a shadow of what they should be will hopefully have the right effects.

that is your opinion - you are not alone in thinking this!

Before the cease fire there was a story of a Palestinian woman who went into labour and needed a caesarian section - they had to cut her open and stitch her up without anaesthetic, because the Israeli terrorists had stopped aid entering the enclave.

It's not really an opinion is pretty much a fact as the key word you forgot is democratically elected government, Hamas sized their illegitimate power like the Taliban did.

So in you're idealised war, everyone just keeps supplying whatever is needed which effectively makes it a forever stalemate.

The enemy has just ran out of 7.62, we'll have to use the 5.56 until the new delivery in the morning general, good show lieutenant.

That's not how you win in wars.

So Adolf sinking merchant ships was good or bad ?.

That will be one of those women used as breeding machines with no rights or protections, possibly one of several wives to the same guy who hardly see the light of day I presume.
You remember the quote from Yasser Arafat a few years back ???

why does it have to be either? If it's total war anything is fair game

And what do you think they're doing against Hamas, it's not just a little state sponsored skirmish.

You win at war buy punishing the enemy and it's population, as without the populations support you fall.

Take the Americans and Vietnam, you can't have a war of occupation and expect to win as you can't kill an enemy that doesn't wear a uniform.

I hadn't seen that no. But what I'm asking you is to imagine how you'd feel if you were a Hamas fighter - so you think the US and Israel are trying to steal your homeland, but you know you can't possibly overcome their far superior military. It's like the people living in the Amazon rainforest, they probably get their wives by wacking them on the back of the head with a club and dragging them off in the bushes for a bit of intimate pleasure, but that heinous act doesn't make it right for armed Brazilians to go in there and clear the land they have been living on for thousands of years, just because the newcomers to the forest have superior weapons.

that hasn't stopped Israel killing those enemies not in uniform in gaza - the breeding machines in plain clothes - enemy number one, storing up trouble for the future.

Anyway lets accept that your point of view is more valid than mine, now I can go and get thrashed again by the bots on Chess.com
