Maybe, it was a long time ago. I just filed the bottom edge flat IIRC. Whatever I did it was not good.

I tried to sharpen some distel gekos and made them 10 times worse!. I dont know what I did but it was terrible. They just cut strips out of the tree and wouldnt stick in. A set of new gaffs sorted that little problem out.

Agree , I’ve never sharpened a set of spikes in my life… I’ve had people sharpen mine for me … with out asking I’ll add and I wasn’t best pleased!

My experience differs. I swapped to long gaffs a couple of years ago and they were too sharp. I'm not a stomper by any means but on soft timber i was having to wiggle and yank my gaffs out each step. They're much nicer now they're a bit blunt.
  7. There's also noticeably less drag from the system when ascending compared to the wrench/stiff tether. Perhaps not much of an issue for chest harness folk, but as a neck tether renegade it's nice.
  8. The ability to remove it from your system without dismantling the hitch etc being the main one. Lovely for swapping between SRS & MRS for advancing anchor points. The soft tether allows you to collapse the system with one hand for pulling slack through from above, which could be awkward with the wrench/stiff tether especially with a flat line angle. You just pull down above the freexion to disengage it and collapse the hitch at the same time. You can also adjust the friction settings on the fly without taking it off the rope if you need to. I haven't had to yet, but it's an option if you notice your hitch starting to wear or if weather conditions necessitate it.

  10. Go on? I only watched a short video.
  11. I love the RRP as an SRS device but i find it hateful on MRT. Advancing anchor points with it is pretty bad. I bought the freexion as a bit of an experiment but the RRP hasn't had much of an outing since. The freexion has a few nice advantages over the wrench.
  12. I've just pulled a thorn out of his forehead, presumably from going so enthusiastically face-first at his work.

For those whom seem to think this is somehow ok. The first version and its powers will never be enough.
  14. I wonder why you never see starmer and zippy from rainbow at the same time?
  15. Something that's been on my mind..... That Dominic West who was Jimmy McNulty in 'The Wire' is having to do those ads!
  16. I'd forgotten about then ( to my shame )
  17. Who is in your photo btw? Got it, Craster!
  18. ok, how 'bout this'n then.
  19. This afternoon I was sitting watching rugby when I thought I will Get some of the ash out of the stove and lay an fire with paper and kindling ready for next time we need it . Bearing in mind its been out for two days . So I did it . 20 mins later it all catches light and burns away ! I did not see any embers or anything glowing . Laugh !
  20. Something thats been on my mind… That ad for Nationwide, where the rich banker takes a call from his spoilt little bitch of a daughter in Antibes asking for money to fly home.. Then the Romesh Ranganathan lookalike tells him it’s not a scam etc. The last ad in the séries showed her gloating about her mother (his ex wife) getting reamed out by her yoga teacher, basically calling her real dad (and his employer) breadheads, you know the one. Anyway, let the ungrateful bitch hitch home, or pick grapes to earn enough for a coach back across the Channel.
  21. Just ringing up craploads of willow for family today, for a solid 5 hours of work, between moving it and all that, only 4 tanks through the 462. Must be a 25" bar working it's magic😂
