Here you go Stevie,

Few photos of it installed and the last few are an easier way to remove it.

Tie a throw line over a branch just above the Rope Guide and onto the large ring (Picture 4) and when you tie the retrieval ball to the end and pull (Picture 5), it catches the shackle (Picture 6)and you can lower it out the tree with the throwline. (Final Picture)

Hope this is what you wanted mate.

Just a thought Tommy, I put the retrieval line on the little ring on the other end of the RG, and crotch the retrieval line itself a few feet higher than the RG. Then if it sticks during retrieval you can sometimes lift it and give it a bit of a shake to help the pulley through the ring. Got me out of trouble a few times!

Does attaching the retrieval line on the big ring do the same thing?

It doesn't Peter, But I find that if you give it a little pull it doesn't seem to stick. I wouldn't like to try it with the Primus though!!

Next time I'm out, I'll have to try it your way!! Cheers mate!!:001_cool:

SWB, if the rg gets snagged on the way down then it is (sometimes) possible to install a throwline to retrieve it, but easier if the throwline is pre installed like in the pics.

i will probably know better and be too lazy to install a throwline, get it stuck, throw a hissy fit and wish i had listened to you guys:blushing:thanks for all your input guys, really looking forward to getting it, and my little pulley for my sidestrop. i cant believe how much more enjoyable and easier climbing is:001_cool:

cheers tommy, those pics are great mate, i take it you dont need the throwline to get it back down but it is there just incase you get a snag

You "technically" don't need the throw line to get it down, You can just pull it out like a normal cambium saver. But I think that if I'm spending a few quid on a bit of kit, I'll lower it out with a throw line because its my bottom on the line!! (and I don't like spending money!! Ha ha!!)

Glad the photos were of use mate!!:001_cool:
