Im wondering if anyone can offer some wizdom

I bought a truck just over a month ago

Was looking under it today and noticed its been in a severe crash the front left hand suspension is pushed back an inch or so which acounts for it pulling to the left and there are several things that wouldn't pass an mot despite the garage selling it with fresh mot which is quite obviously dodgy

Looking online its not the first time this garage has done it and i was wondering what is the best course of action

I think the law changed last year. Vehicles that are bought from a dealer by a private customer can be returned within 30 days (check this), for a full refund, I'd guess you'd need to prove you haven't damaged the vehicle since you've had it. I believe it's different for vehicles purchased for business.

Have a look at the consumer rights act 2015.

Sorry, I missed the bit where you said just over a month ago.

Have a read of this.

There is a link to the consumer rights act on that page.

Unfortunately its just over 30 days didnt bother hpi it as it came from a big dealer but will check i dont think its cat d i just think it was really poorly repaired and sold as a top quality truck

I will ring the garage again and if they ignore go in there but dont know what will come of it just really pissed offf it was meant to be a good truck to replace my ranger after its cracked so currently have 2 piles of junk outside

Dont know how much sway trading standars really have and will they bother with such small cases

HI,

i Bought a defender 3 week ago, it turned out to of been clocked 50k and had a dodgy MOT, as the passenger seat belt buckle didn't work and it only passed the MOT a week before i got it...

i found loads of useful info on a .gov website for checking MOT history on vehicles before i buy them.

i also spoke with citizens advise and they where extremely helpful and knowledgeable . i would call them straight away.

i spoke with them and in 24hr i got a full refund.
