Tree officers recommendations?!

Hi all, just a query I always thought that tree officers weren't supposed to recommend a tree surgeon when dealing with the public regarding there trees? Speaking to a client today and she said to me that the local tree officer came to look at a tree for her and also recommended a tree firm!! Which I personally don't agree with one bit!!!!

Occasionally get that round here too which is particularly crap when I've submitted the application as agent and she suggests getting another price from.......... As he'd bound to be cheaper >:mad:
