Atlantic Cedar

Finally got around to using my mill that I bought off rob d. I have 2 nice chunks of cedar and today I managed to find time to do the smallest piece and boy am I hooked. Each plank took around 2 mins and I can't believe how awesome they look. Started to get the hang of it towards the end. Can't believe how much sawdust there is but well worth it. Thanks to everyone who's gave me advice, I can't wait to mill my next piece. Got a few pieces of beach I'm picking up next week so hopefully I will find something special inside.

Here's a few pics from my first attempt today

Looks great, looks like you could do with a few more laths to stop any bowing in the middle though.

I've seen logs stacked in the round before at a shipwrights, I think they had them bound with pallet banding.
