I have a second hand 357 xp but with a new piston and pot fitted before I had it which I use a 15" and a 18 " bar on .Anyway I m starting to love it and its beginning to make me smile . Now I m looking for something a little bigger to complement this saw something like a tidy used 365 so I can use a bigger bar on the big stuff or perhaps a stihl equivalent or something else . Not earning a living from these saws and I m happy to keep looking till the right saw comes along any ideas and is the 365 a good saw ? . Thanks

Hi

Ive owned a 365xt for several years its a good saw, some report starting problems but the trick is to not use the decomp valve, choke out 2 pulls, choke in & usually starts 3rd / 4th go. Hot start usually first pull. I run mine on Aspen.

It runs well on a 20" bar & seems fairly effortless with a sharp chain.

It can also be modified to a similar power as a 372 by grinding the transfer ports but I havnt done that as power seems fine.

still £525 @ FR Jones
