Excuse the lack of clarity and eloquence in the speaking, none of it is planned or pre-rehearsed. Its just that I make a habit of trying to explain my actions on a job so's the next time people know what to expect and are all on the same page. Most of the time it pays. 3 seperate trees in this instance, and a couple of the techniques discussed. Hope its not too dull for you guys. Thanks

being in my early stages of treehugging i tend to mismatch my cuts - i watched a video of yours from ages ago and noticed what you were doing excelant cuts - this video including explaination will aid me alot -- cheers ....

can i just ask do nearly always make your angled cut below the horizontal cut ?

i noticed this on a large pine takedown you did ... looks easier to cut the 'gob' this way

Liked the way you knocked the gob wood out on the last tree - halving it with a wedge then a flat surface to knock the other half out.

No one makes vids quite like you Reg...theres always something very reassuring about the way you explain things...As Always...great stuff. Second fell was quality. that technique is used a lot in German Forestry,"Dogtooth cut"...realesing the tree by the angled cut through the "Hold"...Brilliant.
