I am an entomologist and have been sent this image as 'beetle holes'. They aren't but I can't remember what they are. I think the 'holes' are caused by the tree, under bark which has subsequently fallen off. Any ideas? Best Don -
Reasonable size drive with easy access will happily take any free logs in any shape or form.

Before I buy any, wondered if anyone local has some rampant variety I could propagate? Can swap for osier cuttings -
Has anyone had any practical exerience of SRC? A couple of (possibly dumb) questions arise... In order to minimise transport costs and extract the most energy from the harvest, is there a practical method to dry chip in these volumes on site Rather than chip it every 3 years, if left for longer could it be logged (every 6 years?) Is there a standard bed size / field layout?
