First post, and I know likely a common topic, but possibly a little different... Im looking to buy a used Echo top handle chainsaw, that is almost entirely new. It had never been run through wood, only started up once and left. Only issue is the chainsaw was left with petrol in it for a year and a half. (I'm in Canada, so we'll call it gas for fellow Canadians and Americans) What do you guys think? I drained the old fuel and ran it with new fuel, let it idle for a little while, all seems okay off first inspection. I'm getting a really good deal on it- so I'm tempted to buy. Am I taking on a big risk? Is it likely to be badly damaged? Any help is appreciated. Again first post- sorry if I'm breaking any rules

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone could help me out by participating in this questionnaire for my BSc Arboriculture & Urban Forestry dissertation?! 🌲 🌳 If you find the time, at the other end of the link there will be a brief description of the project, some notes on GDPR and why I believe it is integral research for arboriculture moving forward - the questionnaire itself should take no more than 5 minutes! Thanks very much for taking an interest, I really appreciate it! If you could like and share around with others, that would be great. Kind regards, Jacob. Microsoft Forms FORMS.OFFICE.COM

Hi, Firstly, I'm not a professional gardner/tree surgeon/landscaper. Just a hobbyist with a rather large garden. Which brings me onto a problem I have: my Bosch electric chipper/shredder just isn't up to the job. I recently had a tree surgeon over and he let me use his professional one. What my crappy electric one would take a day processing was done in minutes. Obviously I don't have the budget for a top of the range machine, but would like to invest in a decent petrol chipper/shredder. My requirements are: 1. Must be able to both chip and shred 2. Able to take large branches (up to about 80mm) 3. Be able to process green waste 4. Not get jammed 5. Ideally be able to pull through branches 6. Electric start if possible I can stretch to a budget of about 1k max (ideally less). The Forest master and the titan pro seem to get good reviews. Is there any other recommendations? The other brands I've looked at (e.g. Hyundai) seem to get mixed reviews. Thanks.

i was in my local dealer the other day and got chatting, got onto the new husqy fuel as they'd just got the first batch in, the claimed the 2 stroke stuff was just aspen rebadged. anyone else heard this? same sort of price as aspen and red can for 2 stroke and blue can for 4 stroke so it would make sense. my local husqy dealer is far closer and i much prefer them to my local aspen stockist so will happily move to them for fuel is it's the same juice at the end of the day

Hi there I have been offered a log splitter by an acquaintance, and wanted to know how much it was worth before going ahead with the purchase. It is a Ramsplitter HV20, runs on a petrol engine, and is the towable version. The splitter is 3 years old, has not seen too much use as far as i'm aware. Dont know much about purchasing this sort of equipment second hand and didnt want to pay over the odds. What do you think would be a good price? Thank you so much for any opinions/advice in advance, just wanted to ask some people who would know. Thanks again
