  1. I've filled up a petrol canister with 5L of petrol and forgot that it was previously used for diesel. There was basically just a film of diesel on the inside and now it's mixed into the petrol, which is what I'm assuming is causing my saw to smoke like crazy?? Will this cause any damage since it's been extremely diluted?
  2. i was in my local dealer the other day and got chatting, got onto the new husqy fuel as they'd just got the first batch in, the claimed the 2 stroke stuff was just aspen rebadged. anyone else heard this? same sort of price as aspen and red can for 2 stroke and blue can for 4 stroke so it would make sense. my local husqy dealer is far closer and i much prefer them to my local aspen stockist so will happily move to them for fuel is it's the same juice at the end of the day
  3. Be carefully with petrol when You fill fuel to Your smal engines, lawnmowers, petrol chainsaws... this happens to Me .. glad that engine was not heat.. [ame] [/ame]
  4. Hi All I have to share this with you, I have recently been introduced to a product called diesel, and I have got to say it is awesome!!!! I run around in an L200 and I went from doing 0mpg to 34mpg with the help of diesel!!!!!! It is simply a fuel used to power engines, so I have started running it my chippers as well. If you want more info PM or contact [email protected] Serious savings to be made on you credulity!!

  6. Hello, As I was watching every video under the sun about chainsaws It occurred to me that I didn't really know what to put in a chainsaw fuel wise. I have been working on a cricket ground since i was 12 and I know how to mix petrol and 25:1 for streamers but I don't know how to do it for a chainsaw. Could somebody tell me what the best oils I need to use for chain and for engine and if there any types of oil or petrol that does a better job than others E.g. Leaded or unleaded.
  7. Does anyone know of a process that can convert your usual chippings into fire bricks? The reason I ask is I remember about 20 years ago the cub scouts used to sell fire bricks made from old newspaper which they mached and made into bricks. With so many chipping generated by so many of us it'd be ideal if we could pioneer a nationwide project with an institution such as scouts whereby they could use our chippings to make fire bricks. I know the fuel pellet product is well known and established now so why not make "the fire brick"? I'm tipping that the hardest part of the process (and probably the idea's downfall) will be in drying the chippings. Just throwing ideas out into the mix here to see if anything comes of it. Anything which promotes our by products as a useable resource has to be beneficial to all involved.
