  1. Total agree the spout broke the first day, took it back and they replaced it the next lasted a week I gave up using it after that .
  2. We have one used it twice the chain is far to aggressive for the size of the machine and the bar length if you don’t hold it tight with both hands it will rip it of your grasp,The stihl gt40 much better to use ,I am a big Milwaukee fan but not of this ,
  3. We have twin wheels fitted on the 48” ,reason being if you put twin wheels on the 36” it’s as wide as a 48” but there is no reason you couldn’t,
  4. We have both scag flail & rotary mowers , the flail is best on long grass that is only cut occasionally not as fast as a rotary, out front ride on with a flail deck is the best option better than a rear flail on a compact tractor ,faster and a better finish, as when you have the mower behind you flatten the grass with your wheels first , walk behind mower are good on slopes ,but takes it out of your legs after a full day ,
  5. Same thing happened to me with the stihl cylinder lock tool thing it took me hours to get it out glad it’s not just me 😂
  6. It’s the same hat as the 3M ,I have that one I find it a bit top heavy I replaced the mesh with short visor to get better visibility ,I find it a good ground helmet as I have fitted the 3 M radio ear defender makes chipping more bearable, still use the Protos when climbing I find the ear defenders don’t get snagged
  7. Yes I have them and they can come in handy I find if your cutting hedges on the top of a set of ladder and come across a a thick branch they save busting your long reach cutters , I bought the Milwaukee ones first thinking more powerful but the chain if far to aggressive and snatched it out of your hand on thin stuff , worth the money
  8. I find the 400 to be a good saw I find I use it instead of a 261 , ok it might weigh more but you get through the cut quicker , From what I’ve seen of the 400.1 all the changes seem to be cost saving rather than improvements .
  9. We have the stihl 161 top handle , and the Milwaukee both ok , I did a job for a mate who had the makita top handle I looked down my nose at it at first as it was only 100 quid , but pound for pound if you have the batteries it would be a good buy , as I was impressed with it , he loves it ,done him a year no issues,
  10. EBay never look after the seller I’ve had it in the past selling tools people buy your item use it to do the job then say it’s faulty so you have to pay carriage both ways and they get a free tool hire , Now if you sell an item they keep your money until you request it , How much money are they sat on that’s belongs to sellers ,
  11. Yes your spot on £5.80 is taking the piss, I worked at a fastener place when I was younger and they pay pence for them , the imperial are more expensive as they don’t sell them in Europe in the same numbers,
  12. From what I can see the bolt is an 1/2 uncx3” .countersunk socket ,grade 10.9 , and the nut is 1/2 unc not sure what the purpose of the the flange lip is on the nut, could just be a locking collar, like an aero tight nut, It’s hard to google for nuts and bolt best bet is ring a local fastener company, the only reason not to use a nyloc would be heat could affect the nylon ,
  13. I agree that your skin will toughen up in time & and when you’re doing the job full time the frown lines on your forehead will work like guttering ,
  14. Yes never had a problem with them had some stuff in the last few weeks ,I know they have to buy big quantities of stihl to get good prices,so they might have to wait for larger bulk orders ,I’ve had this with stihl items in the past from different places , But when I’ve spoke to mowers2go on the phone they have always been straight,
