  1. Apart from a classic defender holds its value
  2. Used to be able to do all manner of weird bar and chain combos ,until oregon hovered up alot of the brands . Main things the sprocket. Id have liked to put 0.43 on one of my saws but not sure if thats even possible!
  3. Arrh.. battery powered chainsaws, lovely
  4. 281 or xp was a beautiful saw , cant knock it, as an early teen i had the chance to use that and some of the other 2 series Huskies, saw i never liked or struggled to handle was the 3120xp. With a long bar on it - like some of ther bigger Huskies were never balanced right
  5. Hey, yes did try but my coils made in sweden, and didnt look like that!😔
  6. Ex boss brought one, when factory made it was more sluggish than the 351/353. Felt as bulky as the stihl 391 farm boss . Maybe it's the one built on a Friday,
  7. Im weary of th, as a business im not going into it as it will sound like more fking Bullshit. I dunno why people aren't straight , I cant be done with bull . Spose one reason why you'd not hear about admin of a big company is fall in shareholders. But they were good chippers
  8. Another dealer another load of bullshit.but id steer clear of th as a company
  9. Ive Just googled that, but why are equipment dealers in the west county lieing hunts? Second dealer second bullshit . I stay away from that company above ..
  10. Never got on with a 357, not sure what it was trying to be .
  11. Just had a conversation about changing wood chippers with a local dealer , part ex kind of thing only to find jensen woodchippers are now in administration ..dont know if this is a new thing or not ..but surprising!
  12. Yes, I find it stressful. I dont want to hoard saws but I just want something that will work that your not having plug in to a laptop to fix. I dont want to be forced into battery powered stuff, it doesn't sit well with me . Im trying not to hoard to much but im also finding going to dealers miles away or dealers not carrying stock any more -we will order in when asked for it . Also alot of the independent small people who carried stock dont exist any more , so no going down the road to pick one up. You've only now got the big three or in my case two as I only like husqvarna and echo , efcos newer saws are made in China But I dont want a load of saws ,just to be able to get a saw that feels compatible with me, does a days work , and is safe.
  13. I brought the above when i was young then up graded, thats my personal experiance, If someone wants an easy lightweight, basic , stands upto abuse ,would pass basic training then go for it, Bloke/woman/person 1st saw thats all. Things like certain small stihls have never been "quick" husqvarna yes but not stihl . Husqvarna are ok echo are ok. But nothing to write home about . If times precious why bother cutting your own wood? I find echo neither quick nor slow , husqvarna scream and stihl are just grunt.
  14. Echo 310 , cheap and cheerful, basic, you could learn on it and with a 14" bar you could fell 28" diameter trees and 400 left over . Depends what you want to do with it and what you intend doing with it . Move on to a better saw after you've learned . I expect to be laughed , but hey, I started with a stihl 017
  15. Never had a problem. The only problem I did have was the ramps were to tight. Took to factory, free service, free ratchet straps and shown how they were built .quite interesting really
