Ok there is my point, we had very powerful storm this winter I believe many trees got some sort of internal damage , which hard to identify,then summer come trees become more heavy at summer as they absorb moisture , plus hot temperatures cause them to expand and if tree already hade some internal damage I believe that will cause collapse even in absolutely good looking tree I just cut biggest elm I ever seen with very interesting internal crack sadly I don’t like photos during work ! Tree like this cedar must be fenced to retain , it is also good for a tree to keep ground intact under drip zone. I’m afraid that if we start remove every potentially dangerous tree it will be no tree left, we just need proper people for assessment and survey , plus we need to stop some sort of ecolunatics affecting decisions, so it’s all about good specialists and managers all those becoming absolete !
