  1. stihl hla 86 is an extendable long reach trimmer and its all built in so no messing around with extensions etc ,highly recommend
  2. i have no idea to be honest ,ive gone gone down the hilux tippers/trailer route as i felt the 7.5t route would be too expensive especially as none of my team team have the license,
  3. tacographs,6-8 week inspections and there are fewer places that mot that size stuff, the 3.5t vans are always overweight though , no such thing as a perfect set up i guess, hilux and 3.5t trailer is great for logs/green waste//weight and if you have more vehicles to tow the chipper chippings aswell
  4. i agree with woody paul,use an under ground anchor system much easier and then your not looking at an ugly post either
  5. trust insurance are very good ,you can do everything through them which makes it a bit easier

  10. imo the best thing to do is do the next course up etc and then that refresh's all your old courses,ive got 30 31 38 and 39 but when i do 41 it renews them all so if you space out your next courses you would be doing something different and keeping up to date etc

  15. not in your area but my local timber merchant offered to buy oak planks off me for £100 each so might be worth you seeing whos local to you,many thanks andy
  16. bigger jobs monday to thursday and some smaller easier jobs til lunchtime on friday,if they finish all the jobs on the day they finish early on friday,been doing this for years and 90% of the time my guys finish 12-2pm on friday which they really appreciate ,especially those with kids who want to do the school pick up every now and then,already mentioned in the thead but again hot drinks/ food in the winter and cold drinks/ice cream in the summer really helps the team

  18. good point, after mine was finished they sent me a new plate with the new weights on to show it can take 3.5t
  19. pretty sure overland in tadley would upgrade the springs for you to take 3.5t

  21. hilux 4x4 ,best thing i have bought carrys a decent mount (1.3t) which is way more than a transit(legally) and it goes everywhere ,not as much room obviously so depends what you do and where you tip etc but i highy recommend.also it tows 3.5 which is great
