  1. hmm some do ,i mod mine a bit but nothing excessive muffler mods , woods porting and intake mods , differnet carbs I,m a nerd ?
  2. must be a numbering system difference possibly but call them up and see if they have exact specs and see f they can check it properly , did you see the nose sprocket not fitting with chain properly ?
  3. thats a possibilty with changes over in USA or UK which i doubt , forgot to say , i,m in UK which they are only supplied to one company over here Chainsawbars UK( Robb D) who is on this forum but shipping costs will be high , go for a Tsumura bar if you find one with same correct spec , they are made with same steel but not the sam e supplier , the design is real nice i have a 36 inch Tsumura light but not available over here so got it from Canada , so if you return that bar to HL supply and refund , a Tsumura one is about the same price here is a photo of Tsumura one
  4. sorry my bars are 15 inch but same spec , yours is a 18 inch , only difference is the length mine is numbered 037 which is 15 inch yours is 045 which is 18 inch , i have 20 inch ones 24 and 28 inch ones too which are 3/8 058
  5. yip thats the proper spec on my ones but are 15 inch not the 18 you have but only 3 inch longer , they are small husky mount K095 .325 sprocket tip and 0.50 gauge rail , thats why the VH2U is 3/8 0.58 on all the bars i looked up , what is your exact chain , have you looked at the chain fitment on the nose ?
  6. i did look up HL sully and that number did show , on the Sugihara site there is no part number to match it , only the first section and the 045 which is 18 inch (450mm )
  7. yip thats the link i seen on their site , on the sugihara site i entered just VH2U in the search box and it came up with around a dozen bars and all are 0.58 gauge
  8. no not good , read the post above , some folk dont give a sh..t but its already got simulated wear with a smaller gauge it will rock around and cause a taper on the drivers and the bar groove with high loading on small contact patch sugi bars are so hard you cant dress them easily or squeeze them back to reduce the wear taper which can be done on soft steel worn logger bars which is fixable, once a 50 gauge bar gets real worn a 0.58 chain can be rune so can keep its life longer
  9. your chain will likely be .325 pitch so will run on that bar as the nose will probably be also but the chain will be sloppy , with it rocking around it can wear the rails and the chain links , the Sugi bars are hard as hell steel but t can still be affected , if the chain is loose and rocking in the bar as it tips there is a lot of load on one place on the rail and link , imagine standing on you feet and then tip your ankle over lot of stress on one small contact patch so thats how things get worn , 325 will also not feel good on a 3/8 , same thing it will jump out or jam up Contact them and get a proper replacement if the specs are not as you asked , at least you still have the part number from the bar and wrapping which are wrong if you find the exact issue with bar gauge and sprocket
  10. yeah i know , if you are running a 0.50 rock it back and forth if its wobbly is might be 0.58 bar as the first numbers section only lists 0.58 bars on the site which is the numbers on your bar , hey ho , maybe they showed it to a customer or was on a shelf and put in the wrong package , if you have the oregon bar gauge try it or if not ,you have feeler gauges ? slot it in and use 3 or whichever of them to 050 or 058 till its tight or a digital vernier caliper to measure the rail gap , ive done it on different bars to see the gap or wear the 95txl is lovely chain so smooth and handy for maybe dirty stuff as the cutting edge is longer lasting if you touch a sandy bit , full chisel is faster when perfect filed but has a risk of dulling instantly on the tip , if something is touched 95txl has oiling grooves on the drivers and lot less drag on the narrow kerf on small saws , i have all kinds of chains but on 50cc saws i use the semi chisel mainly and mostly the 95 txl , as i have a couple of other brands semi chisel too as back up
  11. no its no chinese knockoff lol , the numbers on the bar are slightly different tho , bar says YH2U OJ45 DT 7J package says VH2U OJ45 HV so thats strange , , it might be old stock, sugihara has been on the go since 1957 , but i dont think its that old lol , only thing is to try different chains in it , 058 or 050 . if its 050 it will be sloppy rocking bar and forth if that bar is 058 gauge if you have 058 chain it might be real tight to fit in there if its a 050 gauge scabbard says its 325 050 18 inch if you have a 3/8 chain it wont fit the sprocket of the roller nose on the bar , it will be sticking proud on the nose and if you turn it , it will jump out or lock up what was you original query about it , what exact chain did you run in it looks like a full chisel lpx or lgx on the pic , , i know you mentioned trying 95txl but you dont have that i presume ?
  12. ok looked on their site and its the same spec as mine but just longer bar on their listing so if its the correct bar than it should be fine , mine is .325 0.50 and run 95 txl on them On their site , all bars with the first section VH2U is 3/8 pitch 0.58 gauge on the description so something weird there , this bar on top right on the photo is the same spec as yours apparently but totally different number but middle section is 0J45 which is 450mm (18 inch) it even says the 95txl chain is designed to be used on that bar , hence the reason i used them can you post a photo of that bar and the part number stamped on it ?
  13. hmm weird , dont think the sugihara website will change the numbers for different countries , that will be a real ball ache , is the part number clearly from the etch on the bar ,i would assume that from you or just on its package , that number just does not show up anywhere
  14. my 550 xp and 346 xp has the sugi bar on it BC3U-0J37-A and runs the 95 txl .325 050 and have had no issues so far, i went onto the sugihara website and searched your part number and it doesnt match but the first section shows up but the 0j doesnt and with the 45 being 18 inch bar, there is no hv at the end of the part number all the bars are A at the end , so can you confirm it again ? its not showing on their site
  15. yes mine is the 5 bolt crankcase , but no oil leak on it, under the muffler As you see in the pic its not been hard used really , ah well i,ll prob leave as is , its no a big issue , slight bog off idle but runs well and i like it
  16. yes its mechanically sound , i did take it apart for inspection after i got it 3 years ago its a 2012 model , its fine inside no wear really , i had it checked by the test tool and has only 135 hrs use i have been looking at one from a guy i know , its a 2017 one is but is a 560 which is mechanically the same but several differences anyhow .. one of his crew ran over it with the harvester and crushed it , the fins are bent ,muffler crushed ,handle and chain brake crushed, and 2 vibe springs buckled but it did run so will go and maybe buy it , as its a much newer saw might swap the bits from mine to that one but the 560 has small bar mount and not so high capacity oiler and low top and different air filter , depends on price tho , he has no idea, but the parts will be a big price so hes buying a new one to save the hassle
  17. yeah i forgot about the different loom and coil and firmware update so will be real expensive , i do have a dealer local too which can do the update but it actually isnt too bad but my pals newer one is so crisp and sweet compared to mine but with same bar and chain the cut speed is same
  18. My 562xp has a EL44 and has a bit of a bog off idle , not been a big issue but always has done it since i got it second hand near 3 years ago have checked it on the diagnostic tool and has no codes so did a reset and still the same even after flat out through big elm chunks , still the same after that , anyone on here have a new one for sale as they are expensive from Husqvarna dealer or from a dead saw salvage ?
  19. Large Dead Elm didnt quite get that log finished as the chain snapped and light was failing so stopped for the day
  20. 1983 husky 61 grey top about 20 years ago, it felt like a beast in firewood and was a tad rough cosmetcally and pine rosin all over so took it apart cleaned it up and found the ring land was a tad wide so the ring was floating a bit on exhaust side so took it to the local husky dealer and asked for a 61 piston and he looked at it and said thats a 266 xp piston as it was 50mm windowed piston 61 was 48mm , but luckily had the cyl in the car and showed him it and said yip thats a OEM 266 xp top end so got the OEM piston and ring , little scuff up crosshatch with scothbrite on a drill , back together and is a beast still :-)
  21. i like the bigger spikes on mine, 562xp and 372 xp , and the 395 xp which has big ones stock anyway , do some rough bark pines and oak and elms , much easier to bite in , but i have prodded myself with them while carrying the saws , but not physical damage just snagging on my safety trousers , getting big dawgs for my 7900 Makita soon too :-) first pic 562 has the UK medium dawgs , second pic has the US slightly bigger / longer ones . 372 has only recently had bigger ones fitted than the singe small one
  22. same felling spikes as on my 562xp also has 3/4 wrap handle , should have got full wrap , have to use short scrench to adjust bar nuts as they are right in line with handle .so it a bit tight felling spikes work well on rough pine bark
