Hi Graham looking at approx 40, 4800x245x75 to be done. totally flexible with the profile as long as it works. DIY tongue and groove is the back up plan. Beams are actually in Inverness at the moment as it happens.

Pal ??? what you mean is you like to hear stuff that you agree with. There are multiple other parts of the forum that deal exclusively with “tree stuff”. Regarding community whilst I’m not really into boasting in public I have done plenty for people during this period including supplying free logs and doing shop runs for those deemed vulnerable. Early on in the process before I drew my own conclusions I volunteered to be part of the response by DMT or Diver Medic Technicians to assist the NHS. Pal

Oh Dear is one offended. im ever so sorry that the tone of debate is not to your liking, or along a line of thought that confirms with your own . Regarding Andy nope he has his opinions and I have mine, they often differ especially in respect to Scottish independence. 100 mile NW of Shetland in the Atlantic today sweet cheeks so no options to go outside and do stuff with wood. Other areas of the forum which I often use tend to be utilised for more technical and timber related issues, I always understood this part to contain much more robust debate. Especially from the likes of Mark ?♂️. I’m sure he’s a big boy and can fight his own battles. Next time have a cup of tea or something first eh, wake up and then reply to stuff that you may disagree with that way you won’t come across as being a grumpy easily offended bugger in the mornings. ?

I disagree with that statement wholeheartedly. The lockdown will in my humble opinion turn out to be a total catastrophe long term. The Scottish government and SNP act only in the interest of the long term goals of which anyone living up here is well aware. The statistics of the virus up here with population and population density etc factored in do not make much different reading to anywhere else. The measures taken are way ott based on the numbers and still Sturgeon hangs onto the grip this gives her over everyday lives even to the extent of dictating at what age a grandchild can hug a grandparent.

Sorry mark I forgot only yourself is wise to all that goes on around you. As you say it whizzed right over my head ? still looking eh lol. So the technology behind my phone is how you justify the statement ref experts then, probs a few potential gaps in that but if you are happy with that then fine ?. Within all civilised societies we tend to operate inside framework of freedoms of course some are limited by that same society otherwise we would be all running around doing WTF we all wanted. “Unsurprisingly whizzed etc”lol ? the implied superiority of intellect is beneath you.
-
It’s not actually peer reviewed science Mark it’s a basic review of the statistical evidence past and present that leads me to most of my conclusions.
-
Lol ? absolute utterly pretentious rubbish. How little you know me Mark. I cherish the freedoms available within the limits of a civilised society we have and utterly disagree with the lockdown for many reasons. Angry over little things ?????thats ripe coming from the most vehemently anti tory link posting corbynite zealot on this forum.
-
Really Mark your imagination was staggered was it ? Well that’s me utterly convinced based on this enlightenment that everything the experts say is true then ?♂️. Problem is Mark a lot of the hysteria around the virus has absolutely no link to medical science as you put it. I’m sure you are well aware of this if not I’m surprised at such a blatant cynic of government etc as yourself resorting to distorting people’s opinions etc and coming out with such a statement. Taking precautions ref infection and hygiene in Hospital's that have dealt with Covid cases is I think a totally worthwhile endeavour, the lockdown of the whole country on the other hand will I think turn out to be a disaster.
-
Lol don’t worry yourself about what I’ve been doing.

Good boy ? You are going down the ifs and buts route again. pubs were closed by the way until yesterday and I never said everyone is out to get us. I think this virus might be making you a tad paranoid. Warm cup of cocoa shut the curtains, stick to the rules and you will be ok. Sleep tight.

Globally ??♂️

You are totally not getting the other view that things are not and never were as bad as made out. You create if and but possible scenarios to justify the current situation. I’m happy to think for myself that’s been my argument all along. By the way I’ve had zero as in not a penny off anyone since this started. I stand by what I say as in total blind obedience by the public to state instructions without any question are not a good thing. listen you have an opinion as do I. You are obviously more than happy to follow the rules etc. You do that I’ll do what I am within the current limitations imposed upon us.
-
It’s not climbing at a ridiculous rate at all ?♂️
-
Public obedience without question is indeed a bad thing. I think you will find even recent history is full of examples of this.
-
Do you realise how much you rely on should of could of if this and if that etc etc. Go do the research on the subject matter I mentioned you may be surprised. Not gonna get dragged into details but briefly in a nutshell isolate/protect the potentially vulnerable Or those with underlying health issues if they wanted it that is (A very important point for me) and for the rest let people get in with life in general. Way way to much state interference in minute detail for my liking.
-
Ok for starters do some research on the CJD models predicted years ago then follow that up by seeing if you can find a name in the current situation that matches ?. The public have sadly responded and obeyed better than could ever have been imagined. The initial part of your response sums it up ie they don’t have to ever be wrong or right in this debacle as they can swing the facts either way. As for the nightingale cash pits do you actually realise what the take up of beds was ??? .

Rules Mark made by whom on what basis ???. Come on man I at least had you as a bit more broad minded than that. You can have that evil little ginger control freak all day long.
-
It seems you are very wrong I’m afraid. And the I take it you have been out and about statement well I’ll treat that with the contempt it deserves. No I’ve made no changes to my day to day routines during this farce other than those imposed upon me, you do realise I’m not alone in this, ie kept working if possible, visited families etc etc and amazingly have yet to succumb to this virus. I live in a fairly remote location as it is and choose to avoid towns/cities if possible anyway. Only thing that changed for me is my means of providing for my family was denied due to the ludicrous lock down situation being imposed upon the country and the fact that my kids have been denied schooling other than that what myself and the mrs have provided. The propaganda and lies being pumped out daily as to the severity and risk associated with this virus are everywhere right in front of you just open your eyes and take a look. Try looking at some of the informed alternative reasoning from many sources as to the overestimate and massive exaggeration being used on many occasions to justify measures. Did the NHS fail ??? No it did not, at no point did it ever come remotely close to being overwhelmed. The point about the developed world expecting a cure or a medicine for everything is confirmed by your response in many respects. We have widely differing opinions you obviously believe the lockdown is worth it for whatever reason. I believe it’s a total over reaction based upon the data and statistics I have read and the abject failure of the mathematical model predictions. just curious but do you remember the mad cow debacle and certain eminent scientists involvement in that ???. Did you read the article that Woodwizard put the link up for??. Ever wondered why so much money is being offered out to help people ??? The amount of people for whom this debt will become a ball and chain is incalculable. A lot of those being the free minded self employed types whom normally stand on their own two feet.
-
You continue to sit at home chanting the virus is gonna get me mantra then and believe all the hype. Do you really think people in power don’t lie ??? You ain’t learnt much over the years have you. Try looking at the WMD bollocks by that bastion of the working classes T Blair ?. Death from all forms of disease and virus is a part of human existence. We in the west and in developed countries have become soft and conditioned to believing drugs and modern medicine can cure all. Have you seen the latest statistics as to the deaths and the number whom did not have underlying health issues !!. It’s ironic to see the outcry over this when millions perish all over the third world every year due to preventable diseases with barely a murmur.
-
Grow up man. Safe ?♂️?♂️?♂️Safe from what ??? fed ??? I don’t see any evidence of hunger or people starving due to the virus and being rescued by frontline Asda heroes. Looked after ?? Pure rubbish, yes NHS staff have done an outstanding job as they always do under any circumstances but really to use the phrases you have ?♂️?♂️ What do you thinks being going on in reality ???. You have swallowed the propaganda big time.

End of the day the cost will always work it’s way back to the end user ie the consumer. Regards the test procedure well to pull 32 guys in from all over the country and put them all in a hotel on one floor for a week and to test halfway through the week etc to me that’s just introducing risk not averting it. I’d been with mrs and two kids at home out in tbe sticks for the whole lockdown apart from shopping etc and the quarantine process actually exposed me to more people than I’d seen for months. Common sense has long since vanished when it comes to people’s reactions and behaviour regarding Covid 19.?People are unjustifiably terrified due to an over hyped media hysteria driven campaign to inflate the risks associated with this virus. Something they have achieved on a scale that when you look at it is unbelievable.
-
Rubbish Political opinion not debate on the subject matter at all. As for the pic of the people at the so called Covid party that’s no different to the thousands of bloody protesters that we have seen. Anyway the angle of the picture does not, as seen on here recently give a true indication of the spacing of individual people. My own view by the way is so bloody what, it’s supposed to be a free country, if you want to go out fine, if you want to sit at home terrified that the virus is gonna get you then stay at home.
-
Like I’ve said if at all we are talking hours or minutes, Really come on get a bloody grip man do you really know how your argument sounds. He was tested negative, currently I’m on a job that required 7 days quarantine a full Covid test for me and 32 other lads from all over UK which incredibly seeing as the media would have you believe that the virus is waiting on every corner to get you, we all passed. Cost all in 150k ?♂️which in my view was a pure waste of money. But seems like the scare mongers and doom merchants are the ones that get the headlines and set the tone. One thing about Farage is you will find him fairly consistent.
