  1. No I am in Suffolk near Newmarket! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  2. Well you're in Dartmoor so it's miles away! It tightens up pretty slim. I know my friends brother can get in it and climb! And he has a 30" waist or something really skinny! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  3. Well, if you're local come try it on! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  4. Check the earth's? Of a different coil? Could be breaking down I suppose with age Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  5. Just went to the shed to look at the devil's 036, cleaned the lightly scored piston up and cleaned it all up. Put back together and it's either the different light or its my luck but the scores are back from just pulling it over lightly by the flywheel. Cleaned the case out with mix, dab of silicon on the gasket (both sides) I can see like, grit from the exhaust port. I'm pulling my hairs out here. I hate that thing. 6. If you can't adjust it would that mean there's an air leak somewhere of that the carb needs a rebuild? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  7. If it works, it works. Used to do that with the split shafts where the ends don't clamp and stuff. Cut a bit off job done. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  8. All I know is a whole assembly for a extendable pole saw is £230 roughly. Must be press fit? Bit of persuasion? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  9. My 036 is proving to be a nightmare. New crank seals, new piston, pot cleaned up. Put it back together and first pull it fired. Ran it lightly idling for maybe, 10 minutes or so, nothing heavy. Took the top off and my new piston is scored on the exhaust side. Gutted. Anyone fancy having a go at pressure testing for me? I don't have the kit and until I decide to go full time fixing I can't afford the kit. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  10. Does anyone know about the way serial numbers work? Had a customer/friend who wants to send something back to stihl but is worried that because he didn't buy it, and it was part payment for a job that they will not send it back to him. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  11. The crank that used to live in this. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  12. Full climbing kit, stein vega plus size 2, Yale xtc 13mm 45m rope. 2 60cm prusiks, Hitch climber rapide, zigzag Mk3, stein lanyard kit with skywalker pulley, elderid swivel, dmm oval crabs. All new used for the same thing as you with intention to do cs38 and cs39, never got round to it and just practiced on a handful of times. Nothing higher than 15-20m. All literally like new and dry stored. Needs a loler, looking for around £600 let me know I'm in no rush and rather it go as one kit, especially to someone enthusiastic Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  13. Although I bet an 8" flail would smash up other robots Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  14. How does one go about removing crank seals without the proper tool? Wood screw or screwdriver? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  15. You can get a 42" GB low profile milling bar and chain that will run on a 461 and a 661. It uses a 3/8" low profile chain and Barrow kerf bar. In that way you can slap on a 4 foot bar on the very rare occasions you need to use it and still have a lighter saw for more often use. Check out milling bars or something on Google. 16. My mx5 for a clutch! Not easy getting it on my bench though! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  17. Nice one, cheers man! I'll get a refurb kit installed Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  18. Weird thing happened today, took my 05 ms260 out to use for a job. Never had any problems with it. Wouldn't start. Stunk of fuel and swapped plugs still nothing. Got it home checked spark, lovely, popped some carb cleaner in intake and pulled, still nothing. Whipped exhaust off fearing the worst. Clean as a whistle on the bore and piston. Lots of fuel in the exhaust though, I reset the carb screws and pulled it fired first time. Any ideas? So Confused! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  19. That makes me feel ill. That would be a big hefty bill for cleaning to deter future offences of that nature. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  20. I know this is late, but I saw this in Amsterdam lol! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  21. I wouldn't mind a 357xp to work on either! Same, charity or cash! Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  22. Would you want much for it? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  23. Is it all there? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  24. That's good news I think I'll leave it at that. Reading this thread back a few 500 pages picking up info, I decided to find my oem cylinder which I thought I threw out. Then that's the end result. Time and patience are a wonderful thing. New meteor piston I think is all I need then I can order a mityvac 👍 Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
  25. Got some brick cleaner, 5 litres of the stuff, used about 3 cotton buds worth haha. Vast improvement however on the exhaust side below the port even though it's hardly visible and barely even able to feel it there is still some deeper scoring there. Ive been honing for an hour or so and that's the end result, is os serviceable now or more honing? Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
