  1. Thanks Dean that looks tidy. I don't think it will quite suit what we want. If you have anything bigger come in I will be interested. After speaking to someone today there might just be a fair size heizohack in the pipeline. Watch this space. Cheers Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  2. Same as roseyweb give Justin Kingwell a call he has recently invested in a new John Deere brash baler. I'm not 100% on the dimensions but I'm pretty sure it produces bales of 3m long and 600mm in diameter (round). I'm sure he will be able to help you. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  3. Hi guys as the title suggests I'm on the lookout for a TP 400 chipper with a crane or something similar. If anyone has or knows of one for sale it would be greatly appreciated if you could pass on some information. Thanks in advance Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  4. I am having similar problems whilst trying to create a new post. Regardless of what device I use wether it be my phone or pc. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  5. I you are happy to send me your number I can then pass it on to Dave and he can give you a call. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  6. Dave Jones is based near atherstone and I know he hires his processor out with an operator and it is capable of up to 16 inches. If you want I can pass your number on to him and hopefully he can help you out. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  7. This is a shame as our problem is not finding people with experience but finding people who are reliable and can follow instructions and be left on their own to complete a job without my phone ringing every ten minutes. I know plenty of good lads that fit the bill. But they are all in the same boat as me. One man band and struggling to find reliable help. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  8. As regards to which is the better option all depends on the majority of your work. The smaller (stand on the back) machines get in more places and are quick. If you take into account you can just jump on and drive. Whereas the bobcat type skidsteer requires you to climb in and out of the cab, which is a ball ache if it only gets used for a couple of minutes but a lot of times a day. But on the other hand if your on a lot of bigger jobs that require an operator to be on it all day and access isn't an issue. Then bigger is better (within reason). 9. This is very encouraging as your the second person to give a very good and surprising review on the 8 ton jcb in as many days. This could have a big influence on my next purchase. Although the resale seems to be quite low on the few secondhand ones I've seen coming on the market. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  10. Thanks I might just take you up on the offer in the coming months cheers Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  11. Hi Eddie Did you trade the kubota in or sell private? If you traded it, who was it with? I would be really interested in that setup. Thanks Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  12. Triggers broom springs to mind![emoji23][emoji23] Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  13. Not sure who sells the Seppi stuff for genuine parts but I'm pretty sure 'Flails Direct' sell teeth to fit the Seppi machines. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  14. They look to have a fair bit of life in them. I advise to keep half a dozen spare teeth on the tractor, as openspace said they soon wear fast when the carbide tip goes. If there's any thing you need to know just drop me a message and I'll be happy to help. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  15. If hiring is an option you could try Joe turner equipment they have a few McConnell robo flails on their hire fleet I believe. Hope this helps Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  16. Normally I would agree with inthewoods and say wipe the lot out with a mulcher, our tractor would have that done in about an hour. But taking the chain link fence into consideration I think a big mulcher would be out. Although there are plenty of other options. If you want feel free to give me a call and I can share my thoughts on it. 07816861333 Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  17. You could try George Lovatt training, he is based in Coleshill. I did my hgv with him, not 100% sure he does car and trailer but if he doesn't he should be able to get someone that does. Hope this helps. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  18. Machine mart usually have a good range of you have one locally Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  19. We had an epidemic of rats a few years back. We set a live rabbit trap near to where the cows fed. Sometimes you could have 3 or 4 at once. They were so aggressive that they would chew the barrel of the air rifle. Soon sorts them out when you pull the trigger!!! Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  20. I haven't personally heard of either style mentioned but you do find a lot of regional variations. This link shows the most common styles. The national association of hedge layers might be able to give you more of an insight. They also have a very informative website. http://www.hedgelaying.org.uk/pg/info/styles.aspx Hope this helps Chris. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  21. You could try giving Justin Kingwell a call as he is based in Braintree so not too far from you. If you were in the midlands I could help but as your so far away the best I can do is suggest Kingwell's. Hope you get it sorted. Cheers Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  22. Not sure about the valtras but on some tractors when you plug extra head lights into the 7 pin plug on the front linkage it switches the tractors head lights off automatically Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  23. Does the vehicle with the hiab have to be a 7.5 tonner? You might have a better chance of getting hold of something bigger if access allows. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  24. Yes it does thankfully. Although the competition had better rear visibility. It was a small sacrifice for what we thought was overall the better machine for what we wanted. Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
  25. I know it's not quite what this thread has been about but thought I'd add to it as we have got one of these due to arrive by the end of January. Chris Sent from my iPhone using Arbtalk
