Hi work all year round is tough,very much up and down, you need to be looking for railway work in winter, or some sort of contract to keep you busy in the winter months, I struggle in winter, summer is flat out repeat jobs year after year even subbing work out,come mid October the problems start for me I have my class one licence so go driving if I have to, hope this helps good luck Paul west lands.
  2. Hi Bobby don't think your mad go for it,just don't expect it to take of, straight away bad time of year eg poor weather, people skint etc get your tickets and plan your budget, keep all customers happy.it doesen't take long to get a good name good luck pal.

    That's what I done, and I regret it baited up the rats had a good feast started to die and headed for warmth ie under floor boards,radiator pipes etc the smell was awfull and lasted for weeks, good luck.

Hi I just get on with it, explain risk of lawn damage to customers it's there shout won't climb in high winds,most or my work is on farms,paddocks so fairly lucky in that respect weather due to get cold next week so hopefully strong winter sun in daytime may start to dry things out fingers crossed.

  8. Hi all recently got rid of my 200t and replaced it with a t540xp I wanted a 12 inch bar,ended up with 14 inch how do you guys find the 14 inch in confined spaces, I'm a bit concerned because I have used a 12 inch for years I'm just interested how u guys perform with the 14 inch?

Hay dock auctions have all ex council trucks, vans, landys, pickups most with very low mileage and fsh the guys are very helpful you can give them a fairly good inspection.before you bid, I bought a top 110 Landy from there you can phone up to see what's on the list weekly auction every Tuesday morning,hope this helps

Yes these few months are tough I enjoy driving I take loads to Kent from Widnes it pays well I gives me time to think about things once Feb out the way things start to pick up with my own work,bad year with logs due to mild weather,should never be short of driving work many company's screaming for drivers,did you restore your tractor,I have a 135 1978 I'm going to show it this year it's mint just a bit of fun.
  17. Far to wet to do any tree work,I'm lucky I have my class1 licence do a trip in a truck for few days helps when weather is bad,you guys could be on the road for around£1800 something to think about?
